mid-day treat

Going for ice cream was the perfect middle to Chris's first day on break. yum. check.

Mango Sorbet in a waffle cone for Me.
Ice Cream Sundae with Peanuts for Him.

RANDOM STORY 4 U - It's true what they say, Paris does change you. I went to France after graduating college and I came back a little lactose intolerant. No cows milk for me -- I haven't had a big bowl of real ice cream in over 5 years. Sad, right? Well, don't feel too bad for me.  I used to make myself a chocolate chip milkshake almost every day in high school. I think I've had my fair share.

What's your favorite summer treat?

Yum! Ice cream (or sorbet) is the best spring/summer treat! Especially in a waffle cone! I also have a soft spot for carnival food ... funnel cake, cotton candy, shaved ice, you name it! Too bad we're not in Utah anymore with city fairs every weekend!

I really enjoy frozen berries generally, but my favourite dessert is Eton Mess. Do you have that in America, or is it just an English thang?

beady - I have never heard of that. It must be an English thing. Sounds good tho!

Strawberries! The really good ones they sell on the Saratoga Avenue just beyond Cox.

Frozen bananas on Balboa Island covered in chocolate and every kind of sprinkle and nut you could imagine. Waffle cones filled with gellato - there's a killer gellato place in downtown Fullerton with flavors like Rosewater and Fig and Honey as well as chocolate.
