4th of July weekend {one month late}

It has been a rough couple of days. Lots of little things have gone wrong and some big things too. Starting with our car battery giving out and ending with my hair straightener breaking (a frizzy haired girl's nightmare = me). I may have cried a little bit - over the hair straightener - mostly due to it representing the last straw. So, what better to cheer me up than to reminisce about our fun summer vacations?

I finally got up the motivation to finish editing these pictures and get them posted! We had such a great time with family this summer. We started off in Park City with the Blacker's for some good times in the sun. (Jared & Adrienne were extremely missed).

There are so many pictures that I think I will let them do all the talking...

4th of July Parade- downtown Park City:

Play Time:

grandma lines the kids up each night to hand out their favorite treats. (we nicknamed her, "Willy Wonka")

Grandpa teases the kids with water - not so threatening on a hot July day...

Alpine Slides:

little Sam played on the kiddo rides. it was too cute.

I convinced Sheri (my sis-in-law) to come with me on the Zip Line:

Family Photo Session:
all the kiddos

us & my cute in laws

chris's bro, Adam & family

chris's sister, Jen (aka, Reese Witherspoon) & family

Chris's oldest bro, Shane & fam

Shane's youngest, Lauren...such a doll.

Family Talent Show:

Chris & I sang the Johnny Cash / June Carter song called "Jackson" and changed the word to "Cleveland". It was so awesome that Chris busted out his guitar skills. everyone was very impressed!

At the end of the talent show there was a little presentation. Adam & Sheri passed on their huge snow shovel to us that they used while living in Ohio. I guess they won't be needing it now that they are Arizona residents. I am sure it will come in handy during our first winter in Ohio. So, thanks to them!! (Check out Chris's sweet sunburn! Ouch)

Gold Medal Ceremony:

chris & I came up with funny awards for each person of things that had happened during our time together. It was a great way to end a fun weekend!

Such a beautiful family and a fun one at that! You're lucky, like me, to have great in-laws. I want to hear your duet next time we're together :) Your pictures are SO incredible.
