We are here in Washington and everything so far has been pretty great. Our apartment worked out, even though we weren't able to come out to see it in advance. Chris is working a lot and loving his job. His schedule is pretty nice where he often has days off during the week. It helps to break up our day to day routine. I am loving being home with Mason. I am still trying to figure out a balance between him and working and actually getting dinner on the table...oh and getting dressed...that has gone to last place lately. But, I don't fit into my pre-preggers clothes anyway so, that adds to the lack of motivation there.
We are loving this little boy so much. It is impossible for me to drink in all his goodness. Mason is now almost 17 weeks. He is learning so much and taking giant leaps each day with the new things he discovers. I want it to slow down but at the same time, I don't want it to stop.
Things I don't want to forget >>
- he has started to kick his legs during tummy time
- he loves to bat and hold toys
- loves to stand and sit up so he can see everything
- he curls his toes around my fingers when I play with them
- I am constantly removing lint from his hands and feet.
- I swear I have to trim his fingernails every 2 days.
- he likes to tackle my face with his mouth and root on my shoulder
- he does not like to be startled. He pouts out his bottom lip if he is scared and often starts crying. haha.
- He took his first airplane ride in July when we went on a vacation to California. He did awesome.
- He cried non stop after getting his shots. I cried too.
- He starts to rub his eyes now when he is tired.
---side note---
I'm seriously trying to decide whether or not to continue this blog. Instagram has kind of taken over my need to take pictures and journal every day life. Aaaannnd thanks to moving and a new baby, I doubt I have any readers left. anyone? The sad part of it all is that I rarely take out my big camera anymore. I miss it so much but it is HUGE and heavy and my phone actually takes decent pictures. The debate continues...
