A Letter for Mason.
Mason, you are one month old today. Your dad and I have loved getting to know you. Some days it feels like you have been with us forever. When I met you for the first time on your birthday, I thought you looked very familiar. I know we were meant to be together.
You were born the very same day your great grandma Mary was celebrated and buried. I know she was one of the angels who escorted you to us. You brought a lot of joy to those who felt sadness on that day.
You had lots of visitors after you were born. Both your grandmas flew out to spoil you. Everyone is so happy you are here. You are very loved.
Everyone compliments your cuteness. Even the nurses at the hospital said you were the cutest baby they had seen in a long time. They may say that to everyone but, hey, we'll take it. We think so too.
I tried taking your newborn pictures several times before I actually got some good ones. You like to make it difficult on me just like your daddy.
Your first week of life was kind of rough. You had jaundice pretty bad and we had to take your to get your foot pricked 3 times in one week. You didn't like that very much.
You are a good eater. You don't discriminate milk from mom or from a bottle - so we give you both and you seem to like that. You like to curl your hands up close to your mouth when feeding. In fact, they are usually in the way.
The best expressions are made when we burp you. Your dad and I laugh while watching you pull faces.
You aren't too sure about your binky. You like it sometimes but you usually spit it back out after a few sucks.
You have strong legs and a strong neck. You also have been known to roll over already so we have to watch you close when we lay you on the couch.
You love to snuggle and have your back rubbed. You sleep the best when you are curled up on our chests. You also love your carseat and would sleep in it for days if we let you.
One of your baby grunts sounds like a laugh and when you are sad your bottom lip pouts. I think they are my favorite things about you. Oh and your tiny little baby feet! Really, it is hard to choose.
We love you so much!
Love, Mom + Dad
{love letter}
p.s. happy anniversary to us. 6 years together today!
