I am 20 weeks now; half-way there. I can't believe just a few short months ago we went through IVF and came out the other side pregnant. There was a time I felt this would never happen for us. I think I am still grasping the amount of stars that needed to align for this to be a reality. Now that we are here, I'm starting to imagine life as a mother. I know I am in for a lot of fast change but I am sooo grateful for the chance to have a turn.
We've had to schedule a 3rd ultrasound because baby boy isn't in the right position. Everyone who try's to get him to move with out luck tells us we've got ourselves a stubborn one. Considering his 2 parents, I guess that insinuation isn't too far off... but I like to think it means something good. He has already overcome all kinds of sorry statistics ... to me that means he is strong. (But, baby, if you are listening, I wouldn't mind a little cooperation since the bills for this kind of thing are pilling up.)
As for pregnancy, it isn't so bad now that I am past the sickness phase. I do still have some gagging spells when I need to eat something - protein usually does the trick. Chris comments on how he can't believe how much I eat. That is saying something since I never was a shy eater before. No certain cravings come to mind but I do have crazy vivid dreams each night. I miss my Zumba dance class a lot... and cold deli sandwiches. But, I am happy to be in this state, even if it does last nine whole months.

I've heard that women dream more vividly when they're pregnant. I wonder why that's the case. Congrats on the little boy your growing. And enjoy the fact that your cooped up during winter when being inside is a pleasure. ;)
