here comes Halloween

As you may or may not know, I am the ward activities photographer. And I thought it would be a great idea to set up a little photo shoot at the ward Halloween party on Friday to take pictures of kids and families in their costumes.

That is... until I got there and realized that nighttime church lighting isn't the most flattering or conducive to great pictures - you could say it is a bit of a fluorescent nightmare!

panic quickly began to set in...

I set my camera settings the best I know how and crossed my fingers. Somehow with the magic of photoshop, I managed to (sort of) pull it off. Unfortunately, the pictures have a lot of noise due to a very high ISO (bummer) and a not so flattering yellow hue to them. Let's just say, I did the best I could...

I was so glad I was able to do it - I learned a lot and got to enjoy these cute kids in their costumes!

here are some of my favs...

So cute... looks like fun! I love Batman the most! (Hey, did you know you can adjust the white balance settings in PS to get rid of the yellow hue from the lighting? ... it's saved many a picture for me, though I think yours look great!)
