My first gig was at the ward BBQ. I was surprised though at how many people asked if I just brought my camera for fun...wouldn't that be kind of weird? Like hey person I don't know, can I take your picture for my own personal benefit?

So I was looking forward to the big announcement on Sunday that would justify my "paparazzi" actions when they only called Chris's name. HUH? I was later informed that there is "something else in the works for you". I have to admit I am a bit disappointed. I just hope it wasn't due to my lack of skills behind the camera!
Here are some shots I took of Chris -the grill master! He got the lucky job of cooking everyone their burgers and dogs.
That jolly looking guy on the left is our Bishop. I have to say we have one sweet ward. Everyone we have met has been so welcoming and fun to talk with. We are so lucky to have this built in social network! Just another reason why I love this church.

okay, it's 2:30 in the morning, i can't sleep and i'm cracking up literally trying not to laugh out loud and wake my husband/son up! Hey random person i think i've seen at church, did you want to take our picture and hang it in your bedroom? Oh, my gosh!!!! People are just ridiculous. You should have come up with some funny saying like, "actually i work for the church and was just getting some snap shots for the Ensign next month!" haha ... oh, man! definately weird!!!!
Katie, great job on the ward photos, they just know they can't afford your stellar photography. Something in the works - - you my friend, are in trouble! YW Pres here you come. So glad you love your ward, it makes a world of difference.
