"I'm passing a stone. But im okay. Ill call if i need you. Happy Easter."
HAPPY EASTER?! Is he serious? Of course, I didn't wait for his call, I ran home so fast to find him very relieved it was finally out of him after 5 months of pain! You didn't know he had one of those? I guess I just didn't feel it was really blog-appropriate (until today...). And let's be honest, this blog isn't about him!
I got a fun call on Monday about how I don't have a day job anymore. I think they call that being LAID OFF. Thanks a bunch economy.
but im not feeling sorry for myself, oh no, I have got skills and a bright future. So I have been spending my "free time" making a hobby into something worth while...or so I tell myself. I am going to start a business. yep. a small, simple, creative venture designing cards. Picture friendly Flat press cards for everyday, announcements, invitations, you name it. I have been toying with the idea of selling them on Etsy or perhaps just through another blog. But, i will need your help. nothing big, just you're sweet words, that is, if you like my work! Speaking of work, I have a lot more of that to do before I officially launch. here is a little teaser. Try to imagine them with out the huge copyright signs over the top.

...And I have to give a shout out to my brother D, because it's his birthday and it was because of him that I got a free lunch today. love you bro!

I'm in! Where can I buy some cheeky cards? Can I get them personalized?
A blessing in disguise for sure (the laid off part). When you're rich and famous will you hire me????!!!
Katie that's so great (not the laid off part). You'll have so much fun doing it... and you're so good! Can't wait to see all of your awesome stuff!
Hey, glad to hear Chris passed the stones. I hear its worse than giving birth...so I guess he's up there in the world with Women!! :) Congrats for achieving that high status Chris. And awesome cards Katie. I'm not that creative to actually make cards. Good work!
I love it!!! So sad to hear you've been laid off, but I'm glad to see your using your free time to do something so fantastic! I'm so in, too. I haven't sent out any announcements for our newest addition...would that be too much too fast for you? I love your taste. Let me know!
