4th Weekend

It happened; my high school self has officially faced my married self, and I lived to tell the tale. I was a little nervous to see people I hadn't seen since high school graduation. But, when we got back together, it's like no time had past at all. It was such a nostalgic, crazy, exciting, magical, and exhausting weekend! Part of me was a little sad that the teenager-me is gone and part of me is soooo glad! But, just for the weekend, I sort of felt 16 again.

Chris and I drove to Lake Tahoe on Friday for my best friend, Amy's wedding festivities. The driving (9 hours) was pretty boring to say the least, so we tried to entertain ourselves by singing, taking pictures, and pointing out the random houses in the middle of the Nevada desert. Are those people serious?

But, being in California again was worth it; the land of redwood trees and locals that dress like they are on vacation, becuase let's face it, they are. It was so nice to have a break from Utah for the weekend. There is something therapeutic about a change of scenery.

random art in the middle of the salt flats...

This was supposed to be a picture of the "Welcome to California" sign. As you can see, Chris was too slow with the camera flash.

This is a picture of where we stayed, The Village at Squaw Valley. It is a ski-resort community with condos on the top and shops and restaurants on the bottom. We highly recommend it!

Once we arrived we had non-stop wedding things to do: The rehearsal dinner, family breakfast, helping the bride, and dancing our pants off. Chris fit right in, not only did everyone LOVE him, he had the same name as like 7 other people there. It was fun for me to show Chris where I came from. Although, we were hours from my actual hometown, the people made it feel like we were back in Saratoga.

My best-ies..Amy (the bride) and Kelly. These are the girls I did most everything with in high school.

We danced and ate and socialized. Amy looked absolutely beautiful and her man, Matt, didn't look too bad either!

Girlfriends from high school. I didn't realize how much I missed them!

There are too many pictures to post, so enjoy the slide show below.

You look fantabulous!! What a great pick - and under pressure, no less. Sometimes it's better that way. You look like you had yourself a great getaway. Oh, to be sixteen again. I remember you in those days and you look just as youthful and lively as ever. With the beauty of a grown woman. You've got the best of both worlds so live it up, girly!

Was that at Northstar? Beautiful pics.
