Chris loves sports and I like them too. But, we usually find ourselves only watching in social situations. Probably because the games we really care about seem to merit a gathering of some kind. In the past, Chris hasn't had much extra time to watch and I am a typical girl, and frankly prefer shows like, The Bachelor or American Idol. Recently though, I've seen a slight change...we've had sports on at home much more often. I have even caught myself watching alone! gasp!I got the sports bug a few months ago during March Madness after I filled out a game bracket. And lately, I've been into the NBA finals and the US open. Thanks to Rocco and Tiger, I now understand that watching golf CAN actually be exciting. It also helps that my dad and brothers are giddy over golf and some of my in-laws went to San Diego to watch in person (Chris is understandably jealous!). I even sort of comprehend what a par, bogey, and eagle is; well, sort of. Is this a fluke? Or, am I starting to appreciate the mass appeal of the wide world of sports? Only time will tell.
