Today is our first wedding anniversary. And, lucky for us it fell on a holiday so, we’re able to spend time just being together. I feel so blessed to have married my best friend. I’ve learned in my short year of marriage that the frustrations are as intense as the happy moments, and no matter what, you just decide to take it all on together. My love for Chris only grows and that is something I am so thankful for. Here are some things I love about Chris:
-He is fluent in Spanish
-He puts up with and even sort of likes tomatoes after he realized that’s a big ingredient in what I cook.
-He plays amazing guitar, actual AND virtual!
-He likes to shop
-He makes tasty homemade French fries
-He laughs out loud while watching his favorite show, “The Office”
-He can give himself a mean hair-cut
-He has nice-looking feet
-He always opens my car door, even when I tell him not to
-He helps me with the dishes
-For him, a good time is watching the Discovery Channel
-He loves movies as much as I do
-He has a great singing voice (but don’t count on ever hearing it!)
-He tans really easy, a novelty in my family’s genes
-He is a great uncle; even my nieces & nephews prefer him over me
-He often speaks in a Mexican accent because it’s just more fun.
-When he caught me writing down the things I love about him, he said, “well, that’s going to be one short list.”

Oh, congrats! It's crazy to think that it's already been a year. I'm so happy for you two ... love you!
p.s. can i please hear chris talk in his mexican accent next time we get together!
I cannot believe it has been a year! Wow! Congrats! (Do you even say 'congrats' for anniversaries? Like I would know. Well, if you don't, then use whatever phrase would be appropriate instead ...)
You've made it through a year. My dad used to say (in jest) that being married to my mom for X number of years was like being married to her for X number of minutes .... [long pause].... under the water.
We like to say cheesy things (also in jest) also. Instead of saying "cheese" for photos, I whisper, "pretend like you're still in love!" Funny how our humor is so demented. Funny that I think it's funny!
Anyway, still haven't heard from that crazy Mindy!
Also, I couldn't help but chuckle when you mentioned that Chris is a great uncle, I was envisioning him having a couple of generations below him of great-nieces and nephews - and boy do you guys move fast! There's my "momma brain" rearing its ugly head again!
Very cute post!
